On May 22 and 23, 2012, Inner Sense organized the “Wings for Rio +20” conference in the Peace Palace and the Royal Theatre in The Hague. Around 180 leaders from business and international organizations came together to look at how spirituality and sustainability can create innovative perspectives leading to sustainable development in business.


The leaders were joined by Dadi Janki, (96 years), the leader of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University. Spiritual leaders from different religious traditions signed a spiritual manifesto that calls on governments to act and to discus this manifesto during the Rio +20 conference.

On May 24 His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama approved the spiritual manifesto during a public speech he gave in Huy, Belgium.


Both days of the conference all generations were represented. The young people shared their dreams about the future and the elders answered those dreams by sharing their life experiences.
